Course Selection Guidelines – Spring 2026

📅 Course Selection: 10 March – 16 April 2026

🎓 Semester / Classes Start: 6 April 2026

🔹 Important Points

• 1st Semester students already have pre-selected courses.

• BS Lateral / General Route students must select their courses themselves through VULMS.

• Previously registered students must select courses; otherwise they will be considered Inactive and Semester Freeze rules may apply.

• BS Lateral Entry students must complete all Bridging/Deficiency courses before selecting 5th semester courses.

📖 Pre-Requisite Rule

Students must pass basic/introductory courses before enrolling in advanced courses.

⚠️ Important

• Students who have reached the maximum degree duration cannot select courses.

• If your LMS account is blocked due to unpaid fee, pay the fee and create a ticket for Accounts/Finance Department to unblock it.

📊 Grade Improvement Policy

• Students may repeat courses to improve low grades.

• Failed courses can be repeated until passed.

• If the new grade is better, it will replace the previous grade in CGPA.

• If not, the better old grade will remain in CGPA calculation.

🚫 Do not select courses you have already passed.

You can improve grades (B, C, or D) in later semesters if needed.

📌 Always check your Degree Rules & Requirements before selecting courses.

📌 Try to select new and remaining subjects first so you can complete your degree on time.
